Perfecting Your Elevator Pitch

Every small business should develop an elevator pitch as part of their marketing and networking strategy.

The idea of an elevator pitch is to get someone excited about your business in the time it takes to ride an elevator from one floor to another - about 30 seconds!

An elevator pitch is a quick and concise way to communicate who you are, what you do and why you do it better…

Here are 5 tips for perfecting your elevator pitch:

1. Describe your business in terms of what problem you are solving…

use language such as we help, we solve, we protect.

2. Keep it simple so anyone will understand what you do…avoid technical jargon

3. Develop several pitches for different audiences - tailored to the interests of whom you are pitching to …

4. Be sure your passion and enthusiasm for your business comes thru!

And finally ----
--- leave them wanting more!

The idea is to entice someone enough in 30 seconds to want to know more about you and your business!

Follow these tips for perfecting your elevator pitch and you’ll be ready the next time someone asks you about your business in the elevator, at a networking event or in the check out line at the grocery store!
